Walking around Rite Aid’s beauty aisle.

As usual, I was walking through Rite Aid or sometimes CVS, I am amazed by the makeup.

Here’s what I saw: eyeshadow products from Almay (the brand I do prefer) they were displaying different types per eye color you may have. I have brown eyes. I also don’t wear eyeshadow often either. It’s rare when I do. Next, they had more palettes next to the eyeshadow and eyeliner. Next to that in a diff. brand collection, they had color tattoo by Maybelline.

I actually saw something that I’d buy. It was CoverGirl’s oh sugar lip balm. Such pretty pink and purple shades. It cost too much though. $7.99 for one? Let’s see when I’ll be able to afford it soon… 😛

Plus I’m adding this vlogger from YouTube to this post, I watch her other channel: ItsJudyLife but this link is to ItsJudyTime where she posts all over makeup videos:

Olive Garden lunch.

The other day I went to lunch with my mom to Olive Garden. This is what we ordered.

With my mom’s dish, she ordered salad and breadsticks came to our table. I ordered the Zuppa Toscana soup with my dish but was rather disappointed that the soup was not creamy like our waitress said, so I told her to take it back and I tried the Chicken Gnocchi soup. This soup I was really satisfied with because it was creamy and I’ve never had the chance to try gnocchi before. Breadsticks were fantastic as always.

Secondly, our dishes came. My mom ordered the Tour of Italy which consisted of deflated lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and a crispy piece of chicken parmesan. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo but I couldn’t finish it because I was rather stuffed from eating the breadsticks and soup.

I ordered this for dessert. It’s a new dessert on the menu. ‘Our sweet take on Lasagna. Layers of vanilla-soaked sponge cake, decadent chocolate, smooth caramel and creamy custard topped with chocolate shavings.’ It wasn’t half bad but I think the sponge cake would have been better if it was vanilla cake, something more solid rather than soft and gooey. 😀

Roscoe’s Famous Deli

After a visit to Harvey’s, my family and I ate at Roscoe’s Famous Deli for lunch. The place is loud, gets crowded very easily, like a sports bar but with friendly staff, big portions of food, and a large menu. My mom and brother ordered the Clubhouse, my father the Titan (turkey and pastrami) and I ordered the Biker burger (cheeseburger) and it all came with a side for each order. My brother and I got steak fries, my mom potato salad, and my father macaroni salad.

The best advice I can give my Cali friends: don’t come on a weekend. The brunch crowd arrives early and they don’t leave quickly. This place does serve alcohol too and there is a bar where you can sit at and watch the television screen closer.

Plus, they give out free peanuts to the customers. My parents go crazy for them, they can literally eat up 2-3 bags before being served lunch. The food is good here and I love the ambiance and the atmosphere. Below are pics of the ceiling and décor.

Earlier today I went to Chino Hills with my family and I wanted to go into a store filled with purses, tote bags, wallets, notebooks and so much more. That store is HARVEYS.

“We are HARVEYS, a group of happy people who love discovering, designing, and making handbags & lifestyle goods in sunny Southern California. It all started in a tiny garage with husband and wife, Dan & Melanie Harvey. While restoring their classic car, Dan came up with the idea to make Melanie a matching handbag with the leftover seatbelts. Everyone loved hers so much they decided to make more for you.”

I took pictures of the items in the store and most of the bags were pricey. I bought 3 notebooks that were under the $5 limit. Cute right?

Here are a few more photos of the inventory they have. They remodeled the store since the last time I’ve been there. As you may read and find out, every bag is made out of seatbelts.

I was able to take some really nice photos. They also sell coloring books, cups, pins, earrings, composition notebooks, and art. They also have some Disney collection pieces.

Overall, I loved being inside the store and wished I could purchase a bag. ❤ ❤ ❤

Cherry Blossom Festival

A day ago, I went to the local Cherry Blossom Festival in Monterey Park, at Barnes Park. Here is a little bit of history about the festival; The festival which is held every spring in April coincides with the National Annual Festival held in Washington, DC to celebrate the 1912 gift to our Nation’s capital of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Ozaki of Tokyo. Organized completely by community volunteers, the festival’s goal is to showcase the Japanese culture through a number of exhibits, demonstrations and traditional performances all at no cost to the public.

Taken in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Cherry Blossom Flowers.

The food they had was chicken teriyaki, Poke tuna bowl, chicken curry rice bowl, spam musubi, egg rolls, somen, imagawayaki, fried wontons, sushi, takoyaki (fish balls w/ octopus), and Korean bbq. They had Craft Vendors like: Doll Delight, Hawaiian Fragrant Crystals, La Petite Deer, Mosar, Origami Owl, Paper Flavor, Paws and Pals, Sake Sistahs, Setsu Art, and Sky Elephant.

Below is pictures of jewelry, ikebana flower displays, and bags and clothing sold at the festival.

They also had some really nice pieces of art inside the gym. Watercolors, kanji and so much more.

I bought 2 bracelets from a vendor at the festival. Nice huh? Here is a picture. 🙂

Browsing for new lipstick at CVS

Collage 2016-04-16 20_26_33

I found some new lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm at CVS. I think I am reconnecting with my feminine side. I like the pretty shades of red and pink. I don’t usually wear makeup, I think the last I wore any was 4 years ago. I’m more of a tomboy so makeup didn’t always come to mind when I went shopping. ❤ but maybe now, I will look to buy a few tubes of lipstick, lip balm or lip gloss. 😀

Baking cookies once again

Collage 2016-04-16 22_40_16.jpg

These cookies have been in the freezer for so many months and I finally decided to bake them. They came out soft at first but they hardened once they cooled. They are the Pillsbury Ghost-shaped cookies. It’s Halloween themed.

These are Nestle Tollhouse Ultimate’s ‘Dark Chocolate Delight’ cookies. It too had been in the freezer for many months. Some of the squares broke off bigger than the others so the shapes of some cookies came out like a square rather than a circle. These cookies filled my house with the smell of dark chocolate. These cookies came out great also. I cannot wait to taste them once they cool off.
