Burger King Mac n’ Cheetos

Yesterday after my class, I took the bus home. There’s a Burger King restaurant spot near my house. And GUESS WHAT?! I tried a new product they were newly selling. It’s the Mac n’ Cheetos!

Above: I do admit the box it came in was pretty appetizing and I think buying it was worth it. I don’t know how many times I’ll buy this because I’ve heard they’re either going to be limited sales or here for a short time.

(Above: this is what you can get for $2.49 for 5. They’re supposed to be selling these at BK chains all over SoCal June 27th, but I bought mine yesterday.)

The outside is orange, deep fried and has a crispy crust like a Cheetos chip and the inside is filled with macaroni and cheese. Together the bold and favorite foods meld well and the taste is pretty good! I would probably recommend to have a sauce to go alongside with it. I dipped ranch sauce with mine.

Overall experience, A. One of my pieces was burned but I do give Burger King props for selling this because this is finger food and an entrée dished together into one. Thumb’s up to them. I’ll include this link too: We Tried The New Mac N’ Cheetos From Burger King So You Don’t Have To . There’s also youtube videos of people trying Mac N’ Cheetos too. Check it out!

Crescents rolls came out perfect.

As I recall awhile back, I attempted at rolling out the crescent dough and it came out bad. This time, I had help and my mother assisted me in making the rolls. The result: perfect. So fluffy and butter-luscious.

Accompanied with meatballs dressed with Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup and white rice, the rolls made the best side.

As you can see, the crescents were delicious and very soft and flaky. This was a better outcome than the first time. 🙂

New makeup products @ 2 diff. places

As many as you know, I like to take pictures of cosmetics and put it together for the blog; today I am including 2 collages of pictures I took but it is of TWO places and the hard part was determining what photograph would make the cut. I decided to put the collage together by products and items that I haven’t seen in stores like at (CVS or Rite Aid) and these are the finished product.

For the first collage: I went to Little Tokyo a few weeks back around Memorial weekend. Most of the makeup aisle was filled with Japanese and Asian based company cosmetics. I did see lip paint, makeup brushes and palettes, face masks, lipstick and more.

For the second collage: I went to Target in the valley this past Saturday. I haven’t to this location in awhile due to school and being busy with family. So I was super psyched to be able to come to Target and browse their entire makeup aisles. It is brightly lit, spread out more since they have the capacity, new summer colors (of nail polish) to coincide with Fourth of July and pastel hues for a lighter feel, face masks, Elf brand and cosmetics, Burt’s Bees brand and their products, Cover Girl, Revlon, Maybelline, and much more. There was this brand of nail polish I liked [Defy to Inspire] and they had such pretty colors. Anyways, there are many more pictures but these are the 2 finished collages I produced. Hope you like them!

Glendale Din Tai Fung

So this post is a little late. These photos were taken May 30 2016.

Suggestions for this location: It’s right outside the Americana mall, in Glendale. People form a line a half hour, even more before the restaurant opens. It is bigger than the Arcadia location. 177 Caruso Avenue Glendale, CA 91210 is the address for this location. Make sure you can find parking. Try to go early or make sure it’s on a day where less people frequent this mall.

Tips: Go online to Yelp.com for pictures or information about Din Tai Fung if you still have more questions. also, with this post, I am adding along my first Din Tai Fung foodie experience. First Din Tai Fung visit enjoy!

This is collage all put together of my new love for Xiao long baos. I really feel in love with the taste, the new food, the change that it increased my palate. I included a photo of them making the dumplings.

Spring finals are over. :)

Okay, so my finals are finally over. Finally. I took on a full load consisting of four classes; Math, English, Zumba, and Humanities. I’ve been pretty busy juggling homework, quizzes, tests and workouts. I actually danced 12 times to 12 songs for my Zumba final. I was exhausted right after class ended. I so wish it was being taught the next full semester. My other finals were a breeze. Math still is so difficult. 🙂

In 6 days, I return back to school for summer. I’m taking Biology for 5 weeks. I’ll be stuck in a class room for two hours (lecture) and (lab). Plus, I’ll be there at school four days a week. Ughh. But I need this class. I really needed a break from school but I admit going to a community college before going to an university was a good move at least for me. Most of my friends are graduating this year and I’m jealous. They are moving forward with their lives and I’m still at the community college level.

My last year in high school, I remember I didn’t even know what I was going to do after high school ended. I ended up writing a story full of violence, hatred, and hints of humor. It was the first story that I have completed. My second story that I started last year, I took a 3 month hiatus and this past weekend, I finally had new material. It’s been so long since I entered in something new, something that flowed with the storyline. With my life, I feel that I may get to finish the 2nd story because so much of my life now has gotten in the way. I have had a lot of writer’s block here and now.

But as life goes on, I can promise myself that I want to finish the 2nd story and get it published. I want to create new stories. I want to become a successful writer. I want my family to realize my major, Creative Writing, is worth the wait and that I will make it, even if everything is going digital.

Anyways, finals are over and summer school is only a week away. Rant over.
