I sort of remember about 2 years back I made a recipe from Buzzfeed. It’s like having breakfast and lunch at the same time. You have an egg in the middle and grilled cheese together. This time was different because I made the egg in the middle scrambled.
The ingredients needed is one egg, two pieces of bread, butter, and cheese. First, you make your grilled cheese your way and take it out of the pan. Cut out a circle out of the grilled cheese and put it back onto the pan. Break an egg in the hole and let it cook. I used a chopstick to mix the egg to make it scrambled. When the other side is cooked, flip it over using a spatula. Flip it over as much as you need it to be cooked. Make sure to cut it down the middle.

Made some sugar cookies, chopped up Andes mint candies and rolled some cookie dough and topped it off with more mints.
The result: After in the oven for 10 minutes, the cookies came out soft and the mint candies were gooey and melty but delicious.
I had mixed the ingredients all together and it had become a bit tough to mix after all ingredients with a metal spoon. I had put too much brown sugar so the mixture came out looking like a tan. My mom got mad when I told her when I was using her Kirkland chocolate chips. Above is the pictures I took of the entire process.
The cookies came out crispy and soft at the same time. It was all made from scratch.
Yesterday, I made Chicken a la King stew dish for dinner. My uncle brought it over but I am sharing the four pics left and right of the collage of the process of making it. The middle pic of course is the plate of Japanese white rice topped with Chicken a la King and a piece of crusty Costco bread.
I think it’s a good dish to have it on cold windy days like this week. Recipe below:
Chicken a la King
1 green bell pepper
8 ounces of white mushrooms
½ cup flour
2 cups of milk
1 cup of chicken stock
1 stick of butter
1 jar of pimentos
- Melt butter first.
- Sauté diced vegetables.
- After 5 minutes, add salt/pepper.
- Throw in flour, mix it in.
- Drop in 2 cups of milk, and 1 can of chicken stock.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add as much chicken, peas & pimentos as you want.
- Bring to a boil, and then back to medium for a few minutes.
I told you 25 days ago I’d be contributing to making a dish for Thanksgiving. Instead of a side dish, I made dessert. I’ve had a busy week and not enough time to prepare much.
I made M&M cookies from scratch. I made a dish! 😀 I’m proud of myself for actually contributing a dish.
